Founded by Practitioners, Not Career Consultants
CONSULTPLUS Africa was founded in 2018 by Pravin Gowardun and Davina Sawoky Gowardun, following long careers in the corporate environments of global oil majors operating across Africa.
Across their journey, they worked in 18 African countries, holding senior responsibilities for asset integrity, process safety, management of change, and HSEQ governance within complex, multi-country operations. Their roles required governing risk across terminals, supply chains, and people, where operational failure carried significant safety, environmental, and reputational consequences.
After their journey in oil-major environments, they founded CONSULTPLUS to continue working alongside Africa’s most prominent organisations, applying the same level of operational discipline, judgement, and accountability to today’s leadership challenges.
Why Africa Requires a Different Kind of Advisory
Operating environments across Africa are shaped by structural complexity rather than isolated risk. Fragmented regulation, uneven infrastructure, skills constraints, and rapid growth place sustained pressure on governance and operational control.
In this context, risk rarely fails due to the absence of frameworks or policies. It fails when systems are designed for ideal conditions, when ownership is unclear, and when execution depends on assumptions that do not hold in practice.
